Michael Novacek, the Roy Chapman Andrews first Distinguished Explorer Award recipient, has written an  article entitled, “Inside The American Museum of Natural History’s Plan To Double Down On Exploration.”  New exploration is planned in biofluorescence and its role in the marine environment. Biofluorescence research will be the featured topic of the Roy Chapman Andrews Distinguished Explorer Award Recognition on March 20, 2015.

Dr. Novacek is Senior Vice President and Provost of Science and Curator of Paleontology at the American Museum of Natural History.
