Alan Rabinowitz accepted the 2016 Roy Chapman Andrews Distinguished Explorer Award in April at Eaton Chapel on the Beloit College Campus.

More than 400 people were in attendance to learn about, “Ground Truthing Exploration – Why Biological Exploration Isn’t History.” One of the world’s leading big cat experts, called ‘The Indiana Jones of Wildlife’ by TIME Magazine, Rabinowitz was honored during the 14th annual Distinguished Explorer Award ceremony.
